Charro Espanol by walking, by taxi, by taking the subway or a bus and by driving.

If
you're walking around Greenwich Village (better known simply as "The Village"),
just find your way to Charles Street. Walk North on 6th Avenue to Greenwich Avenue
and then 3 blocks Northwest to Charles Street. Or walk North on 7th Avenue to
Charles Street. Then walk to 4 Charles Street.
If
you're traveling by taxi, just tell the driver you want to go to 4 Charles Street.
If he or she doesn't know where that is, say that it's between Greenwich Avenue
and 7th Avenue. Be sure that you say Greenwich Avenue, not Greenwich Street which
is far from where you want to be.
Via
IRT subway: Take the 1, 2, 3 or 9 to 14th Street. Exit to 7th Avenue. Walk
South on 7th Avenue to Greenwich Avenue. Walk left at the intersection onto Greenwich
Avenue. Walk 2 blocks to Charles Street. Walk right (West) on Charles Street to
4 Charles Street.
Also
via IRT subway: Take the 1 or the 9 to Christopher Street. Exit onto 7th Avenue.
Walk North on 7th Avenue about 4 blocks to Charles Street. Walk right (East) onto
Charles Street to 4 Charles Street.
Via
IND subway: Take the B, D, E, F or Q to West 4th Street. Exit to 6th Avenue
(also known as Avenue of the Americas). Walk North on 6th Avenue to Greenwich
Avenue. Walk left (Northwest) on Greenwich Avenue 3 blocks to Charles Street.
Walk left (West) onto Charles Street to 4 Charles Street.
Via
bus: On 6th or 7th Avenue, take the M6 or the M7. On 7th Avenue, tell the
bus driver you want to stop at Charles Street. He or she will tell you the closest
stop.
On
6th Avenue, tell the driver you want to stop at 9th Street. From 9th Street, walk
West across 6th Avenue to Greenwich Avenue then Northwest on Greenwich Avenue
3 blocks to Charles Street. Walk left (West) onto Charles Street to 4 Charles
Street.
Be
aware that some buses run Express or provide so-called Limited Service and may
not provide service to a stop that is close to Charles or 9th Street. Observe
the bus indicators or ask your bus driver.
Via
Staten Island Ferry: Take the IRT 1 or 9 to Christopher Street. Exit onto
7th Avenue. Walk North on 7th Avenue about 4 blocks to Charles Street. Walk right
(East) onto Charles Street to 4 Charles Street.
Driving
from New Jersey via the Holland Tunnel: Follow the directions to Canal Street
and look for 6th Avenue. Staying on the left side, drive North on 6th Avenue to
Greenwich Avenue. Turn left (Northwest) onto Greenwich Avenue and drive 3 blocks
to Charles Street.
Alternatively
driving from New Jersey, follow the directions to go Uptown. Staying to the left
until you get past the Holland Tunnel entrances, drive North on Hudson Street.
Turn right (East) onto West 10th Street and drive to Greenwich Avenue. Turn left
(Northwest) onto Greenwich Avenue and drive 1 block to Charles Street.
Driving
from New Jersey via the Lincoln Tunnel: Take any Eastbound crosstown street
to 7th Avenue. Turn right (South) onto 7th Avenue. Staying on your left, drive
to Greenwich Avenue. Turn left (Southeast) onto Greenwich Avenue and drive 2 blocks
to Charles Street.
Driving
from Queens or Long Island via the Midtown Tunnel or the 59th Street Bridge:
Take any Westbound crosstown street to 7th Avenue. Turn left (South) onto 7th
Avenue. Staying on your left, drive to Greenwich Avenue. Turn left (Southeast)
onto Greenwich Avenue and drive 2 blocks to Charles Street.
Driving
from Brooklyn via the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel, the Williamsburg Bridge, the Manhattan
Bridge or the Brooklyn Bridge: Take any Westbound crosstown street to 6th
Avenue. Staying on your left, drive North on 6th Avenue to Greenwich Avenue. Turn
left (Northwest) onto Greenwich Avenue and drive 3 blocks to Charles Street.
Driving
from Bronx or Westchester County via the FDR Drive, exit at 23rd Street. Take
21st or 23rd Street West to 7th Avenue. Staying on your left, drive South on 7th
Avenue to Greenwich Avenue. Turn left (Southeast) onto Greenwich Avenue and drive
2 blocks to Charles Street.
Driving
from Staten Island: Follow the directions for Driving from Brooklyn.
Parking
information: During certain hours, you can part on the streets around El Charro.
Some parking spaces are free and some are metered. Be sure and look at the parking
signs. You don't want to get a ticket.
Public
parking garages are in the area. Probably the two that are closest to El Charro
are on West 10th Street between 7th Avenue and Greenwich Avenue.
If
you have driven onto Charles Street, continue West to 7th Avenue, turn left and
the left again onto West 10th Street.
If
you're driving South on 7th Avenue, then just turn left onto West 10th Street.
If
you're driving Southeast on Greenwich Avenue, turn right onto Charles Street,
drive to 7th Avenue, turn left onto 7th Avenue then turn left onto West 10th Street.
If
you're driving Northwest on Greenwich Avenue, turn left onto Charles Street, drive
to 7th Avenue, turn left onto 7th Avenue then turn left onto West 10th Street.
